A PHOTO society in Oswestry is on the lookout for new members and says it offers the perfect environment for people who want to better their skills.

Oswestry Photographic Society has made the call for people who are passionate about photography and want to improve technique and share experiences with like-minded people.

The club says it offers a wide range of events for all abilities and opportunities for people to keep learning.

A club spokesman said: “We are a friendly and welcoming club for anyone who loves taking pictures.

“The Oswestry Photographic Society is a group of enthusiasts who meet regularly to enjoy various activities related to photography.

The Oswestry Photographic Society held its annual presentation recently at The Queens Head pub and meets monthly at Cae Glas Cricket Cub in Gatacre, from 7.30pm.

Membership is £60 per year (includes room charge, tea/coffee and snacks) and £40 for students (with valid ID card).
