OSWESTRY Library’s lift is set to be out of action for a month while the building itself will not reopen until Wednesday, Shropshire Council has announced.
A new lift is being installed at the building in Artur Street, and will be out of action until next week. The library has been closed on Monday (March 11), and will remain closed on Tuesday while the work is carried out.
The library, which hosts computers and a registrar service, among other services, will also be closed on Thursday and Friday, April 4-5.

A Shropshire Council spokesman: “A new lift is being installed at Oswestry Library.
“Library users are advised the building will be closed on four days and the lift will be out of service for five weeks, from today (Monday, March 11) until Friday, April 12, while the new one is installed.
