YOUNGSTERS carrying out a ‘speed watch’ session ton a ‘dangerous’ road close to their school were given VIP help on Friday.
Pupils from Gobowen Primary School were out in force to monitor the speed of cars travelling up and down Chirk Road towards the village and away to the A5.
It was part of action being taken by the school looking to reduce speed on the road, with children at the primary school recently writing to local Gobowen councillors asking them to take action on the dangerous road as part of their school council work.
They were joined by North Shropshire MP Helen Morgan for the event on the road opposite the school, and she praised their activism in addressing the issue.
