DECLAN McManus scored with his first touch since August to help TNS claim victory at home to Penybont on Saturday and stay comfortably clear at the top of the JD Cymru Premier table.
It was the perfect possible start from the Oswestrians and it took them less than a minute to break the deadlock.
After surging down the left flank Jordan Williams sent the ball past visiting goalkeeper Alex Pennock from a tight angle and into the far corner.
Craig Harrison’s side continued to dominate in the opening stages and Ben Clark fired wide after 17 minutes with both Williams and Brad Young also going close from distance as the Saints totally dominated.

Eight minutes after the restart, the league leaders could have scored their second after more pinball inside the six-yard box but the visitors did just enough to get the ball clear.
Four minutes later the lively Williams called Pennock into action again with a left-footed effort forcing the Bont goalkeeper to push the push the ball over the crossbar.
Despite TNS knocking on the door for the entire game it took until the 82nd minute for their efforts to be rewarded.

Josh Pask was in the right place at the right time to connect with Clark’s cross back into the danger area to score for the second week running.
Head coach Craig Harrison took the opportunity to introduce last season’s JD Cymru Premier Player of the Season McManus following his recent return from injury.
The Scottish striker made an instant impact as he stepped up in the 88th minute and dispatched a close-range free-kick into the back of the net with his first touch since August.
