THE New Saints have been drawn at home against Scottish Championship side Arbroath in the quarter final of the SPFL Trust Trophy.

The side from Angus currently occupy fourth position in the table (which is the final playoff spot) and have won two previous ties to reach this stage of the competition.

Dick Campbell's side ran out 4-2 winners at home against Inverness Caledonian Thistle in round three, before a last-gasp goal from Michael McKenna earned his side a 2-1 victory on the road at Queen of the South last weekend.

This will be the first time the two sides have clashed in a competitive fixture, with the match against the Smokies scheduled to take place across the weekend of November 18/19.

At the same time, the draw for the competition's semi-final stage was also made, and should Craig Harrison's side advance past Arbroath, they now know that they'll travel to either Falkirk or Dundee United in February 2024.
