BUCKETS of water were used to quash a fire in Oswestry on Sunday, according to Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS).
One crew from the town was sent to Barbaras Place at 4.40pm after reports of a chimney fire at a property in the road.
A spokesman for SFRS said that firefighters from the station put out the blaze.

They added: “Crews used buckets of water and a stirrup pump to tackle the fire.
“Advice was given to the occupier.”
A stop message confirming no further support was necessary was sent just after 6pm.
