THE sun finally came out for some Easter fun in Oswestry as the circus came to the town on Saturday.

The Street Circus, organised by Oswestry Business Improvement District (BID), pitched itself up on the Bailey Head to give residents and visitors an afternoon of fun and frolics.

The acts did not limit themselves to just the main square in town but headed in search of an audience to entertain, heading down Bailey Street and to The Cross.

And there was even a man in skimpy shorts juggling knives – not your usual Saturday afternoon!

Hundreds of people were entertained to an afternoon of silliness and fun, all for free.

Social media users praised the efforts of the Bid team in bringing in the circus, which has become an annual event in Oswestry.

One user called Clare Julia said: “What a lovely day.

“Well done Oswestry Bid, great to see the town so busy.”

Another, Dawnie Bryan, added: “Absolutely amazing day, lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves.”
