THE owners of a popular eatery in Oswestry have moved to clarify that they are not packing up just yet.
Darren and Rachael Davies run The Old Coffee Pot, in Church Street, and announced last month that, because of ill health, they plan to sell the business to explore new opportunities.
This included, according to Rachael, a craft business that she could run around her hospital appointments – she has auto-immune disease – while Darren is potentially moving into teaching.
The pair have said they have been inundated with questions from customers concerned that they plan to leave regardless after Christmas.

But they want to assure all those who have asked that they will only move on once the business is sold.
Rachael said: “To clarify, we are intending on staying and continuing to trade until we get a buyer for the business.
“We expect this to take some time but we will not leave until a sale is finalised.
“Celt Rowlands are handling the sale.
