FATHER Christmas will once again ‘choo-choose’ to travel by rail this Christmas with the return of a much-loved ‘Santa Express’.

Oswestry’s Cambrian Heritage Railway (CHR) will help the big man take time away from his busy schedule to board the special Christmas time train.

‘Santa Specials’ will depart Oswestry station for Weston Wharf on specific dates in December when passengers of all ages can enjoy a vintage train ride and visit Santa and friends in his grotto.

OTHER NEWS:

A present for every child from the great man himself will be the perfect seasonal highlight.

Festive refreshments and entertainment will also be on offer as the railway eases everyone into the spirit of Christmas.

Gearing up for the festivities, CHR general manager, Andy Green said: “This is a magical time of year and everyone at the railway is delighted that Santa has chosen to make several appearances throughout December.

“We all know how busy Santa is at this time of year so having him to visit us before the big day is going to be an enjoyable experience for new customers and those who have made it an annual Christmas celebration.”

With an expectation of a high level of demand for tickets, customers are being asked to book early to avoid disappointment.
