TWO people were able to remove themselves from their vehicles after a road traffic collision on the A5 near West Felton on Friday.
The incident, which happened around 3.50pm, has led to the road being closed by police who are urging people to find as many alternative routes as possible.
Officers from Oswestry Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) took to X to tell drivers that the two-car collision had closed the road.

However, according to Highways monitoring website Inrix, the road is partially open but with queuing traffic.
They said: “Two vehicles (in a) road traffic collision on the A5 West Felton, Oswestry.
“The A5 is closed; however, you are able to go through West Felton Village.
“If you are able to take an alternative route, this would reduce congestion through West Felton.”
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) also attended the scene with crews from Oswestry and Ellesmere.
A spokesman said: “Two casualties self extricated prior to fire service arrival.
“Crews made vehicles safe.”
A stop message was sent to control around 20 minutes later confirming no further assistance was necessary.
