A FORMER Love Island bombshell, who’s brother played for a local Oswestry football club, will be re-appearing on TV again as a contestant in an American spin-off of the programme.

Scott van-der-Sluis rose to fame as he gave up his professional football contract to take part in the most recent series of Love Island in the summer.

On Wednesday night, October 4, the complete roster for Love Island Games was unveiled.

OTHER NEWS:

Nine celebrities from the UK edition of the ITV dating program will be part of this spin-off series, which is currently being filmed in Fiji and will be hosted by Maya Jama.

On Sunday, August 20, Scott revealed a sneak peek behind the scenes in a post on Instagram.

He wrote: “Our boy taking it international.”

Attached to the post was a picture of him at a table of which he is most likely sharing with a date.

In the 2023 UK edition of the show, Scott was initially paired with Catherine Agbaje but she left him for Elom during Casa Amor.

Elevation PR, representing Scott, also broke the silence on his disappearing act with another Instagram post.

It read: “You may have wondered why Scott has been quiet.

“He’s currently filming in Fiji for Love Island Games.

“Back on your screens next month.”

Less commonly known is that Scott has a family member who achieved recognition in the Welsh Leagues while playing for The New Saints FC (TNS) and Newtown FC.

Scott's older brother is Jamie Reed, a striker with a lengthy playing career that spans various teams in Wales, England, and Australia.

During his career, he made a move to TNS in 2015 after previously playing for South Melbourne FC.

In the upcoming international series, the stars will be confronted with a combination of team and couples' challenges, all while navigating the complexities of dating, eliminations, recoupling, and the arrival of dramatic new contestants.

The show is scheduled to premiere on November 1, and viewers can look forward to new episodes streaming six days a week on Peacock.
