An Oswestry veterinarian is lacing up his running shoes with a heartfelt mission in mind.

Rob Tulloch, who works at The Market Town Vet, is gearing up for the Oswestry 10K race which takes place on Sunday, October 15.

His noble endeavour aims to support various local causes, with a special focus on Hector's Greyhound Rescue.

Hector's Greyhound Rescue, an organisation founded by Hayley Bradley, expressed deep appreciation for Rob's altruistic efforts.

She said: "We are always incredibly grateful for everyone who raises money for us - and it's particularly wonderful that Rob, who does so much for us already, is pulling off this marvellous fundraising feat.

“We wish him the very best of luck."

Rob plays a pivotal role as one of the primary veterinarians collaborating with Hector's Greyhound Rescue.

This charitable organisation operates throughout Wales and Shropshire, specialising in the rescue and rehabilitation of dogs, many of which have been abandoned by the racing industry.

Their mission is to provide these dogs with a fresh start in life.
