A MAN from near Oswestry will be sentenced for his part in supplying heroin and crack cocaine between March 2022 and May this year.

Jordan Warren, 25 and of Birch Grove in Ruyton XI Towns, appeared at Shrewsbury Crown Court on Tuesday after admitting the two drug charges as well as possession of criminal property and common assault of an emergency worker.

Co-defendants Lewis Doran, 22, from Shrewsbury, and 36-year-old Nathan Smout – of no fixed abode – also appeared in front of Judge Anthony Lowe.

Doran has admitted both the heroin and crack cocaine charges plus also possession of both drugs when arrested on May 22 this year.

Smout, who has been in custody for three months, has admitted being concerned in the supply of both heroin and crack cocaine.

Judge Lowe adjourned the sentencing until Friday, September 22 after a request was made for a pre-sentence report for Warren.

He told the defendants, after a request was made to sentence Smout, that it was better for them if all three were sentenced together.

He said: “Where it can be done, sentencing more than two defendants at the same time is the right thing to do.”

He added that it will help him decide what roles people played.
