WELCOME to another stroll down memory lane as we invite readers to join us in the early 1960s.
It was a very different time in Shropshire and the Welsh borders but community life remained as rich as ever.
As ever we encourage all our readers to share their own pictures from the past by emailing gavin.grosvenor@newsquest.co.uk.
We begin with a picture of Llanfyllin Primary School pupils and staff in 1961. Recognise any familiar faces?
OTHER NEWS:
- Town councillors put off blanket 20mph speed limit by what happened in Wales
- Oswestry rape trial put back to next year
- Lorry driver jailed for causing death of Callum Powell in Shropshire
Next we share a picture of Aelwyd members from Powys border clubs during an inter-club meeting in 1961.
St Myllin Church bell ringers pose for the camera in Llanfyllin in 1961.
Our final picture is of children at Llandysilio Fete in 1961.
