OSWESTRY Rugby Club has announced a sponsorship deal with a leading car dealership. BMW specialists Rybrook Shrewsbury have confirmed their backing for the club as part of its continued commitment to the Shropshire community. Gareth Thomas, head of business at Rybrook Shrewsbury, said that the business was pleased to be able to become the new shirt and club sponsor. He said: “Oswestry Rugby Club is a natural partner for us as we are constantly looking to forge stronger, more personal relationships with the county’s local communities. “Clearly this is a club with ambition and that mirrors our values and dynamic approach to business. “For many years BMW has supported rugby at national levels and the link with Oswestry recognises the playing diversity, social catchment and ambitions of grass roots rugby in North Shropshire.” The sponsorship deal supports the continued growth of the club, which this year successfully gained access to the England RFU social funding award, meaning significant investment in facilities. Don Howell, chairman of Oswestry Rugby Club, said: “We welcome the generous support of Rybrook Shrewsbury.  “The club has clear targets this season as we sit at the top of Division Two, South Lancashire & Cheshire, so this partnership underpins our aspirations, not just for the thousands of supporters who really make this club special, but for people of Oswestry too. “We expect the partnership to strengthen as England prepares to embrace the 2015 Rugby World Cup which will put the sport in the spotlight across the world.”
