Chirk 314-4 beat Shifnal IIs 194 all out by 120 runs
CHIRK maintained their impressive run of form with an emphatic 120 run win over Shifnal IIs in division one of the Henshalls Shropshire League.
Wynn Jones (60) and Gareth Partridge (56) laid the foundations before Nick Flack (77) and Andrew Swarbrick (99no) guided the Colliers to a massive 314-4 to defend with Tom Gough (2-36) the pick of the visiting attack.
Jonathan Mountford (45) top scored in reply with support from Mark Bissell (30), Tony Parton (19) and Iain Mills (25) but Chirk were not to be denied.
Luke Gardner (3-42) starred with Billy Swarbrick (2-37), Mark Shaw (2-28) and Jones (1-2) completing the demise of Shifnal for 194.
