MORDA United have continued to strengthen ahead of the season restart with the signing of Jordan Gerrard.

Gerrard becomes the latest player to cross the border and link up with the Yellows whose Salop Leisure League One season will resume this month while all but the JD Cymru Premier has been cancelled in Wales.

Hopes remain the JD Cymru North may yet be given the green light to start a curtailed campaign but with every passing day doubts grow of whether any football will be played in Wales below the top tier.

Gerrard joins from Four Crosses who have seen a raft of players depart the club sine the Ardal North East League season was scrapped last month.

A spokesman for Morda United Football Club said: "The club are really pleased to announce the signing of Jordan Gerrard.

"Manager Michael Barton is looking forward to linking up with the skilful attacking midfielder who will be a huge asset to the club."
