ST Martins fell to a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Sandbach United in North West Counties Division One South this afternoon.
Scott Evans and Kieran Garner goals in as many minutes midway through the first-half gave United the lead before Bobby McDonnell added a third straight after the break.
The Saints hit back through Jordan Harper and Nelson Onwusiri but could not complete their comeback as the visitors held out for the spoils.
Meanwhile Ellesmere Rangers match with Cammell Laird was postponed with Beech Grove waterlogged.
Gobowen Celtic's match at home to Shifnal Town's development side in the Salop Leisure Premier League was also postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
Elswhere Morda United slipped to a 2-1 defeat at home to Brown Clee in division one of the Salop Leisure Premier League.
Adam Smith gave the Yellows the lead at Weston Road only for the visitors to hit back and take the points back to Cleobury Mortimer.
