TWO players with links to mid Wales and the borders have been called up for Wales Under 21 action.
Blackburn Rovers striker Jack Vale is joined by Nottingham Forest forward Brennan Johnson in Paul Bodin's squad for next week's European U21s Championship qualifier against Bosnia.
Vale is a product of the academy system of JD Cymru Premier champions TNS and signed for English Championship side Blackburn Rovers earlier this year.
Vale will be looking to attain his second under 21s cap.
Johnson, the son of former Ipswich Town star David Johnson, qualifies for Wales through his Rhayader born mother.
Johnson will earn his fifth cap since switching from England in 2017.
