Guilsfield 4
Conwy Borough 2
ADAM Jenkins’ hat-trick inspired Guilsfield to victory at home to high flying Conwy Borough.
The sides produced an evenly contested opening half with the visiting Tangerines breaking the deadlock on 25 minutes with their first real attack culminating in Cory Williams’ shot deflecting beyond Mike Jones.
However the Guils hit back shortly before the break with Jenkins opening his account with a headed effort.
Guilsfield carried the impetus into the second-half and led for the first-time on 48 minutes with Jolyon Harries crafting an opening for Jenkins to net,
However Borough were back in the game soon after with Corrig McGonigle drilling home a penalty after Jones was guilty of a rash challenge in the area.
The hosts steadied the ship with Jenkins completing his hat-trick on the hour and cemented victory with 10 minutes remaining with Callum Bromley heading home.
GUILSFIELD: Jones, Bromley, Cathrall, Rogers, Litchfield, James, Cook, Harries, Davies (Parry 81), Blenkinsop, Jenkins (Clifton 81). Sub: Leonard.
