ROMAN WALKER has taken another significant step in his career by scoring the winning runs with a huge six in Glamorgan's brilliant chase against Sussex.
The Oswestry seamer was named in the Welsh county’s One-Day Cup XI for the fixture against Sussex at Hove.
Walker bowled four overs in the encounter, finishing with figures of 0-21, as Sussex posted 347 for seven after winning the toss with Laurie Evans hitting 110 from just 87 balls and Luke Wright striking 97 at the top of the order.
He faced two balls to see the Welsh side over the line, with the Wrexham-born man lifting a huge pull over mid-wicket for six.
The 18-year-old, who was part of England under-19s World Cup squad last year, will be looking to make further contributions for Matthew Maynard’s side this summer.
