The New Saints have failed to reach the final of the Nathaniel MG League Cup after they were humbled by lower league Cambrian & Clydach Boys and Girls Club.
Scott Ruscoe’s side fell behind in the 10th minute of extra-time after the two sides finished the 90 minutes goalless in a tight affair.
Cambrian & Clydach, who are a number of leagues below the Welsh champions, led through Mark Crutch’s header at the far post from a corner.
TNS drew level when Greg Draper slotted home a penalty with 13 minutes of extra-time remaining.
However, instead of pushing on and booking their fifth-straight final appearance, Saints fell behind again with seven minutes remaining.
Andre Griffith was the hero for the minnows as he slotted home from close-range to book an unlikely place in the League Cup final.
The result will put further pressure on Ruscoe as Saints relinquished their hold on the trophy.
