The New Saints have completed the signing of former Sheffield FC, Leeds United and Halifax Town player Molly Havard.

The forward joins the Saints on semi-professional terms as the squad continues to take shape ahead of the new season, and scored the opening goal in the weekend's 2-0 friendly victory against Stoke City U21s.

Her move to Park Hall sees her become Shauna Duffy’s ninth signing of the transfer window so far, with the Saints continuing to prepare for what looks set to be an exciting season ahead.

Head coach Duffy said: "Molly is a talented forward who will have a huge role to play in our upcoming season.

The club has also added defensive reinforcement to their backline following the permanent signing of defender Kay Baker.

Baker joins the club having most recently represented Leek Town in the FA Women’s National League system.

The 27-year-old now makes the move to Oswestry to begin life in Wales’ top-flight and signs a semi-professional contract with the club.

Prior to joining Leek, Baker also featured for Salford City Lionesses, where she previously worked with current TNS head coach, Shauna Duffy, who was then manager of the Ammies.

The defender made 80 appearances during her time at Salford.
