OSWESTRY Olympians returned for their second cross country race of the season, this time taking place in Baschurch organised by Shrewsbury Athletics Club.

Overall, the Olympians had 25 men and 20 women completing the course. 
Once again Matthew Collins had a very good race, securing second place overall and second in the senior men’s age category. 

Andy Clarke also had a very strong run and came third in the men’s over 65s race.
The women had some fantastic results too and as always did the club proud with their brilliant support for the team.

Nicola Shipp was first home for the Olympians and second in the female over 45 age category. 

Yvonne Hill and Sarah Greaves also had great runs coming second in the female over 60s and female over 65 age categories respectively.

A club spokesman said: “A huge well done to all Olympians who raced and took part with special thanks to Shrewsbury XC and those who organised and coordinated the race at Baschurch. It’s now time to look forward to the next race of the season which will be at Dolgellau on Saturday, January 20th.”
