Dave is now appealing to raise funds for them, and he did so with a post on Instagram.

In the video he said: “They are extremely close to my heart and every penny raised will help develop our already amazing holiday clubs.

“I’ve never run a 10k race before, and I am a bit nervous about it but I have set myself a 44-minute target.

“If you could support it I would be so grateful.”

To excite people to take part Dave has also put a £2 submission fee to win a four ball at either Shrewsbury Golf Club or Caernarfon Golf Club.

The Little Rascals provide holiday clubs specifically designed for children with SEND (special educational needs) as well as SEND-specific play sessions within its play centre.

They also take children out and about in the community taking part in a variety of activities giving them a chance to learn new skills and socialise away from their families.
