Croesoswallt Archers recently moved to a new site at British Ironworks where members hope to develop the club.
They have embarked on a series of taster sessions and beginners’ courses to allow new members to get involved in archery.
A grant of £500 from Oswestry Sports Forum has allowed them to buy smaller, lighter bows, suitable for young teenagers and beginners.
Club chairman Alan Jones said: "The move to British Ironworks Centre has required some investment from club funds at a time when we could not raise revenue due to Covid.
"The move has been a great success however, by raising both interest in the sport of archery and increasing the visual profile of the club.
"We are grateful to Oswestry Sports Forum for their support and look forward to running more beginners and taster sessions to encourage young people to take up archery.”
