David Richards drove into office as men’s captain for 2022 at Oswestry Golf Club last weekend.
The drive-in was followed by a match between the captain and vice captain’s teams.
The captain was joined by his 12-year-old son Alex and they played the vice captain, Stuart Foulkes and past captain Jason Harris.
Joined by 40 other pairs the match went to the wire with the captain's side finally coming out on top 11-10.
David said: “It is a great honour to captain Oswestry, having joined the club in 1990 as a junior.
“I came through the junior ranks playing for the club and winning the SHUGC Junior League.
