TNS 1 Flint Town United 0

TNS added yet another trophy to the Park Hall cabinet after lifting the Welsh Youth Cup in Broughton on Sunday.

Josh Lock's 53rd minute strike proved just enough for the young Saints to see off the challenge of Flint Town United in the final.

Simon Smith’s side dominated and looked to have led inside the opening 10 minutes when Jake Canavan slotted home only to be ruled offside.

TNS continued to dominate with Ben Woollam's header gathered by Flint goalkeeper Aidan Johnson but the game remained deadlocked at the break.

The pressure finally paid off in the 53rd minute when Lock's corner evaded everyone and found the back of the net.

However TNS handed the Deesiders a boost when Josh Roseberry-Beamond saw red on the hour.

TNS continued to dominate with Canavan, Woollam and Reece Warder all going close but Flint raised their game in the final stages and enjoyed their best spell.

However the Saints dug deep to ensure no way back for Flint as the Oswestry side celebrated lifting the trophy for the first time.
