Morda Eagles continued their great start to the Oswestry Table Tennis season with a 6-2 win at Kinnerley Knights.

The game of the night was a tight five setter edged by Chris Walker over Christian Cox.

Chris Kilvert again won all three of his matches while for the Knights Ivan Watkiss won two out of his three games.

Morda Tigers and Caereinion A battled hard for the title last time around and they met at Morda with Caereinion coming out on top 6-3.

Wyn Williams and Huw Jones both emerged undefeated while Jack and Jason Hughes, along with Jeremy Chavez, each won a point for the Tigers.

The division is starting to take shape with Llansilin A leading the way following a full house win at home to Caereinion B.

Meanwhile Kinnerley Royals edged a close encounter 6-4 against Llansilin B with a couple of tight five setters making the difference.

Max Johnson took the spoils as player of the match while Paul Sissons Jnr maintained a good standard for the away side.

Morda Rhinos and Morda Lions shared an entertaining 5-5 draw.

The Rhinos' George Osbourn and Austin Hibbert both ran their coach Jim Reeves close but on this occasion, Jim used his nous to squeeze home.

In the remaining fixture, Kinnerley Crusaders continued their fine start to the season with a 6-2 win at Morda Jackals.
