FOUR boxers from Shropshire and the Welsh borders will be in action at the Welsh Open Championships this weekend.
Maelor Boxing Club coach David Jones will lead his young stars to Cardiff for the two day boxing championship.
Gary Richards of St Martins will be in 86kg senior class action with Oswestry's Ethan Finney competing in the 63kg youth class.
Llangollen's Josh Pilgrim will also be in action in the 67kg youth class along with Plas Madoc's Chris Phillips who will be fighting in the 57kg junior class.
