TICKETS are still on sale for a night a former England Test star and national selector who will be bringing his stories to Oswestry Cricket Club at the end of the month.
Geoff Miller was in charge of national selection when England – under the stewardship of Sir Andrew Strauss and Sir Alastair Cook – were in their Ashes winning pomp in the early to late 2000s.
Miller, who also played 34 Tests alongside Sir Ian Botham, Allan Lamb, Bob Willis and David Gower, will be bringing his stories to Morda Road on Friday, August 27.
Organiser Mark Ball said: "Geoff is widely regarded as the very best and most humorous speaker on the after dinner circuit.
"Always highly entertaining and with brilliant comic timing he's not one you'll want to miss."
Tickets are at £20 and can be purchased from Mark on 07702 895428 or letsliveracing@aol.com
