THE Boathouse in Ellesmere will be playing host to a number of summer events organised by Shropshire Wildlife Trust.
The first event, 'Underwater at the Mere' is on July 2 between 10.30 and 1.30 and is for adults-only. Learn how to monitor the health of water bodies by seeing what lives in them and learn about the Mere, wildlife ponds in the garden and freshwater biology. £15.00 per person including a light lunch or £7.50 without lunch. The second event, 'Wild about Gardens', is on July 27 at 10.30 until 3.30pm. There will be lots of ideas to take away about mini projects like a window box to whole garden makeovers. £2 per person payable on the day.
On Tuesday, August 6 'Outdoor Cooking at the Boathouse' will take place between 10.30am and 1.30pm and will include different cooking methods to make on camping holidays or in the garden. There will be open fires, swing skillets and dutch ovens. All vegetarian and gluten free. Book online at £15 per person.
