CHIRK AAA travel to Gresford Athletic on Friday night with the Colliers now well and truly embroiled in the JD Cymru North relegation dogfight.

The club have endured a poor first half of the campaign with just four points under their belt.

However, the turbulent campaign encountered at fellow strugglers Llanidloes Town means the Colliers remain in touch with their closest rivals and a win at the Rock on Friday night would see them climb off the foot of the table.

Gresford are one of the many clubs in the top three divisions of the Welsh football pyramid to groundshare with the Wrexham club abandoning its traditional home to relocate to the home of the now defunct Cefn Druids during the summer.
