CHIRK AAA have continued to strengthen ahead of the JD Cymru North campaign with a raft of new signings.

The Holyhead Road club is looking forward to a second campaign in the second tier but will hope to avoid the season of struggle which ended with the club narrowly avoiding the drop last term.

The club has had a busy summer off the pitch with a new stand now completed.

Joint-manager Gary Jones joins Jack Ellis in replacing Andy Pryce at the helm.

The pair have wasted little time in bolstering their ranks with Spencer Parrish heading the cast of new arrivals.

The 20 year old forward joins from JD Cymru North rivals Guilsfield. Jones said: “We’re really happy to welcome Spencer back to the club from Guilsfield. “He’s a local lad, who’s keen to make an impact for us in tier two and he’s looked sharp in training so far.”

Also arriving are Josh Evans and Dan Burnett who join the Colliers following their release by JD Cymru Premier champions TNS having each helped the Saints win the the FAW North East Reserve League last season.
