THE MP for Chirk has described a fast-growing business in the area as a credit to Chirk, Clwyd South and the wider Welsh economy.

Simon Baynes MP visited Reclaim Tax Wales at its new base in the Brynkinalt Business Centre last week.

Reclaim Tax Wales, which was founded in 2018, is the country’s leading research and development (R&D) tax credit specialists.

Managing director of Reclaim Tax Wales, Joshua Davies, was thrilled Mr Baynes took time to visit the business.

He said: “It was a pleasure to welcome Simon Baynes to our office in Chirk. We were thrilled that Simon took the time to visit us and learn about our services.

“We help limited companies throughout Wales uncover funds that they are usually unaware they are entitled to from HMRC, which in turn helps fuel the Welsh economy.

“Simon showed a very keen interest in our business and our growth strategy and offered ongoing support, which we greatly value and appreciate.

“We look forward to meeting Simon again soon.”

The company has helped its customers to claim up to £72,000 per business in tax relief on average.

R&D Relief is a piece of legislation which has been in existence for two decades and is designed to reward businesses for innovation.

During the visit, Mr Baynes met with Richard Canfer-Taylor (group chairman), Chris Jones (group chief executive officer) and Joshua Davies (managing director – Wales).

Mr Baynes said: “I was really happy to visit Reclaim Tax Wales’ offices in Clwyd South, particularly as they do such an important job supporting businesses in the area and across the rest of Wales.

“As the Conservatives’ Small Business Ambassador for Wales, I would strongly encourage local businesses to get in touch with them if they feel they may be eligible for relief.

“I would like to wish the Reclaim Tax Wales team all the best for the future, as they go from strength to strength.”
