A not-for-profit rail booking service based near Oswestry is set to close after more than 30 years of serving the community.
Severn Dee Travel Ltd, based at Gobowen Railway Station, will close on December 31, 2026.
The company has been run by a small team of unpaid volunteer directors, alongside paid booking office staff.
It has worked with several train operators as a rail agency, providing a personal booking service for people in the local community.
The company also provides facilities at Gobowen which are not available at many stations.
But the rise of digital ticket-buying options and other factors have led to a reduced income.

A Facebook post stated: "Sadly, the continued rise of digital ticket-buying options, the lasting financial impact of the pandemic, and long-term changes in commuter travel patterns have reduced our income to a point where we can no longer continue.
"We know this facility has been particularly valued by customers who prefer speaking to a person, and by those unable to manage online or app-based payments and it will be a loss to the local community.
"We are enormously grateful for the loyal support you have given us over so many years, and for entrusting us with your rail travel arrangements. That support is exactly what has kept us going this long, and we would not have reached thirty years without it.
"We would be very grateful if you would continue to book your rail travel with us right up until we close. Doing so will make a real difference to us and our staff as we wind down in an orderly way, and it will also mean you keep the benefit of the personal service you are used to for as long as possible."
The company said it had been a privilege to serve customers and the local community.
Earlier today, Transport for Wales confirmed that Gobowen Railway Station would be one of 10 across the North Wales region that will be included in the next phase of its 'tap in, tap out' pay-as-you-go system for rail travel.
That system allows passengers to travel between stations using a bank card, while the system automatically calculates the cheapest fare for the journey.
