A Welsh border farmhouse with three cottages and riverside land has sold for £300,000 at a record auction.
Haimwood, at Llandrinio, had a guide price of £225,000 to £250,000 before going under the hammer on Friday (September 25).
The sale formed part of Halls’ latest collective property and land auction, held at the firm’s Battlefield headquarters in Shrewsbury at 2pm.
The auction raised £2.755 million, a record for the regional estate agent and auctioneer.
Haimwood includes a farmhouse with four double bedrooms and three adjoining cottages, each with two bedrooms.
The cottages provide annual rental income of £17,400.

The property also includes 5.95 acres of level grassland beside the River Severn.
The land was previously used as a clay shooting ground before the owner retired.
Nine properties needing modernisation were sold for Connexus, a rural housing group covering Shropshire and Herefordshire.
They included 7 Kerry Green, Bishops Castle, a three-bedroom detached house with a guide price of £95,000.
The auction offered 22 lots, including homes requiring work.
Entries are now being welcomed for Halls’ next collective property and land auction on November 27.
Halls holds sales every two months, according to information released by the company.
