A MAN apologised to a court after he was clocked speeding.
Richard Davies, of Gawsworth Road in Great Sutton, Ellesmere Port, appeared at Mold Magistrates Court on Monday.
The 40-year-old had already pleaded guilty to one offence of speeding, which took place on August 11, 2025 in Wrexham.
Prosecutor Alun Williams told the court that on the day in question, Davies was driving an Omoda vehicle on the A5 at Halton.
He was clocked at a speed of 68mph, the limit being 60.
Asked what he wished to say to the court about the offence, the defendant said: "I apologise for going over the speed limit.
"I am on seven points already."
Davies confirmed his income, as well as telling the court he is self employed.
The Magistrates handed down a £266 fine and ordered the defendant to pay a £106 victim surcharge, as well as £130 costs.
His licence was endorsed with three penalty points.
