A cancer support group is reaching out to remind the community that no one has to face cancer alone.
Oswestry Cancer Buddies offers peer-led support for cancer patients and carers in a welcoming environment.
Linda Lade, founder of Oswestry Cancer Buddies, said: "Every day, every week someone local will hear that dreaded word CANCER!
"You may be the patient who is newly diagnosed, just starting treatment, post treatment or in remission – but that fear never goes away.
"But you don’t have to face cancer alone.
"As the patient, as the partner or as the carer all are welcome.
"Come along for understanding, friendship and support from people who truly get it so please, also pass this information on to anyone locally that you know who is touched by cancer."
The group meets at Oswestry Library on the second and fourth Thursday of each month from 2.30pm to 3.30pm.
