Ruby Wax OBE has helped select the winner of a prize draw organised by a wildlife foundation.
The actress, comedian, writer, television presenter, and mental health campaigner joined Anna-Louise Pickering, president of the Pollyanna Pickering Foundation, to select the lucky winners.
Mr E. Wylde of Oswestry won a hand-embellished picture of a tiger.
The foundation was established by the late wildlife artist Pollyanna Pickering.
It is a non-profit organisation which campaigns to prevent the exploitation of wildlife and raises funds to support animal welfare and conservation projects worldwide.
Sales of prize draw tickets contributed to funds raised to relocate four Serval cats following the destruction of their home caused by wildfires in South Africa.
From the Royal Shakespeare Company to primetime TV, from a master's degree in mindfulness-based cognitive therapy from Oxford University to best-selling author, from hosting her BBC series spanning 25 years to script editing all series of Absolutely Fabulous, Ruby Wax has had a successful and varied career.
In recent years, she has been recognised as a mental health campaigner and awarded an OBE for her services in this field.
Notably, Ruby founded Frazzled, a mental health and wellbeing charity.
It provides free, confidential, and non-judgmental peer support and mindfulness sessions for people overwhelmed by the stresses of modern life.
However, Ruby also has a great love for wildlife and conservation causes and serves as a long-standing ambassador for Tusk, a wildlife conservation charity protecting African species.
Pollyanna also had a long association with Tusk and was a guest at many of their special events.
Her artwork has been auctioned to raise funds for their projects and has also featured in two books published by the organisation.
