Two major public events have been cancelled as firefighters remain on the front lines of a major wildfire.
Romsey Fire Station’s Open Day and Ringwood’s annual 999 Day, both scheduled for Saturday, August 15, have been called off due to the ongoing incident in the New Forest.
Ringwood Fire Station said on August 12: "This afternoon the service has made the decision that all events are to be suspended due to the ongoing incidents we are attending.
"Unfortunately, this means that we have to cancel the Ringwood 999 Day this Saturday.
We will hopefully look to reschedule."

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service said crews and resources must stay focused on tackling the wildfire, which began on August 9 when a van fire on the A31 spread into nearby heathland.
The fire has affected more than 100 hectares of protected land.
More than 120 firefighters have been involved in the incident, using off-road vehicles, water carriers, and specialist equipment to control the blaze.
The A31 remains closed, with emergency services continuing to manage the scene.
Hampshire and Isle of White Fire and Rescue said: "We've taken the decision to postpone our events this weekend to prioritise our resources on the large outdoor fire in the New Forest, maintain emergency cover across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, and help minimise unnecessary traffic in and around affected areas."
