Families in Ellesmere are being invited to get loud when Megaslam Wrestling brings its high-energy live show to the town later this year.
The touring wrestling promotion will visit Ellesmere Town Hall on Saturday, September 19, promising an evening of larger-than-life characters, championship contests and plenty of audience participation.
Megaslam describes itself as “the number one live experience for families” and has been staging events since 2009. The company now presents more than 300 shows each year across the UK, the Isle of Man and Ireland.
At the centre of the event will be the battle between Team Nasty and Team Megaslam. Fans will be encouraged to choose their side and cheer on their favourite wrestlers as the two rival teams compete in the ring.
Organisers say the interactive element is a major part of the show, with families expected to make plenty of noise throughout the evening as the action unfolds.

The event will feature a mix of professional wrestling, colourful personalities and live entertainment designed to appeal to younger fans as well as adults. Megaslam’s roster includes powerful ring competitors, villainous characters, the Megaslam Ladies and performers created to fire the imagination of its family audience.
There will also be championship action on the bill. Wrestlers will compete for the Megaslam Championship, billed by organisers as the promotion’s most prestigious prize.
The title is currently held by Team Nasty’s Martin Kirby, although Team Megaslam stars will be aiming to take the gold back during the tour.
The entertainment does not necessarily end with the final bell. A post-show VIP meet-and-greet experience will give audience members the opportunity to meet the wrestlers, collect autographs and take photographs with stars from both teams.
Merchandise, including Megaslam magazines and fan items, will also be available at the Mega Store.
Organisers have stressed that all in-ring action is performed by professionally trained wrestlers and should not be copied at home, school or elsewhere.
Tickets are available through the Megaslam website. Families are being urged to prepare their voices, pick a team and join in the chants when the live wrestling spectacle arrives in Ellesmere.
