A major road near Oswestry will be closed for nearly a month.
Resurfacing works will take place from Monday, July 27, to Sunday, August 23, on the road between Queen’s Head and Rednal Mill, including the Queen’s Head junction.
The project forms part of Shropshire Council’s 2026/27 resurfacing programme.
Work will be carried out daily from 8.30am to 3.30pm, with full road closures in place during these times.
A night-time closure will also be in effect from Thursday, August 13, to Saturday, August 15, between 8pm and 6am.
Access will be maintained for residents, businesses, and emergency vehicles where it is safe to do so.
All other road users will need to follow the signed diversion routes.

Motorists are advised not to park on the road during the works.
The resurfacing will involve laying a new asphalt surface designed to improve durability and reduce the need for future repairs such as pothole filling.
More than 90 stretches of road are being resurfaced across Shropshire this year as part of ongoing maintenance efforts.
Over 70 roads have already been surface dressed.
Planned works may be subject to change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
Updates will be provided on yellow warning signs and the One Network website.
