Solar inverter blaze in barn at Marton near Oswestry

Firefighters were called to a barn fire between Oswestry and Shrewsbury this afternoon.

Five appliances from Oswestry, Shrewsbury and Wem attended the incident in Marton, Baschurch, at around 1.29pm on Thursday, June 25.

The fire involved an electrical solar panel inverter inside an agricultural building measuring approximately 20m by 20m.

Crews used hose reel jets and thermal imaging cameras to tackle the blaze.

Officers from the operations team were also in attendance.
