ETHAN GALBRAITH continues to be linked with a number of clubs, including Wrexham, but the highly-rated midfielder insists he is just focussing on his football.
Galbraith has been sidelined since he was forced off with 10 minutes left of Northern Ireland’s 1-1 friendly draw with Wales at the end of the March with a calf issue, with the 25-year-old missing Swansea’s final seven games of the Championship season.
Prior to his injury, Galbraith had been one of Swansea’s stand-out performers.
He caught the eye in a 2-0 Welsh derby defeat against Wrexham at The Racecourse on March 13 whilst also impressing on the international stage.
The former Manchester United youngster’s stock has risen high enough for him to be linked with a move to the Premier League this summer, with Wrexham among the Championship clubs rumoured to be interested in him.
“To be fair I try and not think about it,” he said when asked about the speculation.
“Obviously it’s nice when you see people saying you’re doing good things, but at the moment I’m obviously a Swansea player and I try and focus on Swansea.”
Galbraith insisted he had no doubt he wanted to join up with Northern Ireland this week despite missing the last month of the season through injury.
Swans boss Vitor Matos said in April that he did not want Galbraith to play international football this summer given the situation, but Galbraith was always keen to accept a call-up for friendlies against Guinea tomorrow and France on Monday.
“We had a couple of chats with the manager and the medical teams,” said Galbraith, who joined Swansea last summer for a seven-figure sum from Leyton Orient.

“It was one of them, it was down to whether I was going to be fit… the chats went well and when it came to the time I was fit again so obviously I’m happy to be able to come into camp.
“There’s nothing better than playing so to be able to come here, for me, obviously when the decision came, I was pushing that if I was fit enough to come, 100 per cent I would be here.”
Galbraith, who has won 14 caps for his country, added: “I want to come into every single camp where I’m picked. We’ve got a competitive squad, a lot of talent."
Galbraith is one of a host of players linked with a move to Wrexham this summer, with Phil Parkinson looking to strengthen his squad after finishing seventh in 2025-26, missing out on a play-off place by two points.
Sunderland goalkeeper Anthony Patterson has emerged as a possible target, with the Premier League outfit understood to be seeking a fee in the region of £8m-£10m for the 26-year-old.
The former academy graduate helped the Black Cats clinch back-to-back promotions from League One to the top-flight before spending the second half of last season on loan at Millwall, helping the Lions reach the second tier play-off semi-finals.
Millwall and Wolves have also been linked with the stopper.
