Berriew Development secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Trefonen in the semi-final of the Bernie Jones Memorial Trophy, providing a silver lining after their recent Village Cup Final defeat.
Mark Pugh broke the deadlock on the stroke of half-time, scoring the only goal of the match.
Trefonen’s hopes were further dashed when Cameron Jones received a red card for foul and abusive language early in the second half, leaving them a man down.

Despite their efforts, Trefonen could not find an equaliser, and Pugh's goal proved decisive, sending the Rhiewsiders into the final.
In other league action, Newcastle delivered a commanding performance, defeating Llanfechain 5-0.
