A STAR of the much-loved TV series Red Dwarf is heading to Wales Comic Con in Llangollen this weekend.
After spending previous years being based out of Wrexham University, the popular event was held at Llangollen Pavilion for the first time last year.
As always, guests piled in in great numbers, cosplaying their way around the venue - with the likes of Deadpool, Darth Vader and Chewbacca all spotted.
And there is so much to look forward to as the event returns to the Pavilion on Saturday (April 4) and Sunday (April 5).
A number of top guests have been confirmed for Wales Comic Con including Pirates of the Caribbean and Doctor Who star Kevin McNally and Joseph Marcell, who played Fresh Prince of Bel Air butler Geoffrey.
Red Dwarf star Chris Barrie (AKA Arnold Rimmer) will also be attending and now, the team has confirmed that a fellow Red Dwarf icon will also be there.
Danny John-Jules is the latest guest to have been confirmed for the event.
He is best known for having played 'Cat' in the sci-fi comedy series, but has also starred in the likes of Death in Paradise (as policeman Dwayne Meyers).
The 65-year-old was actually among the original guests at the original Wales Comic Con held at Wrexham University back in 2008.
Speaking a decade later at the 2018 event, he said: "It has been ten years and running now - I was one of the first people here and there were about 100 people here - now there's 10,000."
As always, at this year's Wales Comic Con there will be plenty of exciting Q&A panels, photo opportunities and gaming zones to enjoy along the way.
Guests will also get the chance to experience the excitement of the Masquerade, where talented competitors showcase their crafting and performance skills to the audience.
