A 13-metre-tall giraffe made of recycled metal is vying to become the UK's tallest recycled sculpture.
The towering figure, set to stand in the British Ironworks Centre's sculpture park, dwarfs the previous record-holder: a 2.4-meter giraffe at Edinburgh Zoo.
Now bosses at the centre are hoping to get hold of a crane that can help them to assemble the massive, 42-foot sculpture.
Crafted from over 10,000 pieces of assorted auto scrap metal parts, the statue will be assembled by the Ironworks team.
Chairman Clive Knowles stated they are working towards having the sculpture officially recognised by the Guinness Book of World Records.
While real-life giraffes, such as Australia's 5.7-metre-tall 'Forest,' are impressive, the sculpture nearly triples their size.
The British Ironworks Centre is currently on the lookout for a crane to help assemble the giraffe sculpture.
