An Oswestry man who imported drugs into the UK has been sentenced.
Grant Davies, of Chestnut Avenue, admitted helping to unload pregabalin, a Class C drug, on January 29, last year.
Telford Magistrates' Court was told last Tuesday (May 20) that the 34-year-old had assisted in the unloading of the drugs from an aircraft at the Royal Mail International Logistics Centre with the intent to evade prohibition on importation.
Magistrates fined Davies £80 and ordered the forfeiture and destruction of the drugs.
He must also pay £85 court costs and a £32 victim surcharge.
