NEW food hygiene ratings have been awarded to a host of Oswestry area establishments.
The Food Standards Agency rates restaurants, cafes and canteens out of five with such a high grade received by several eateries.
Hatters at Powis Market Hall, Bailey Head, Oswestry received a top rating on November 13 while Station Cafe at Gobowen Railway Station also received the top rating on November 5.
Mile End Golf Club on Shrewsbury Road also earned a top ranking on November 5.
Meanwhile The Castle at Castle Teas based at Whittington Castle did not fare as well and only received a two star rating following its October 22 inspection.
